Arita Porcelain

This work is the culmination of two years of studying the Aritayaki style of Japanese ceramics and practice in form creation in the only program of its kind outside of Japan. These pieces represent for me the essence of my focus on form an function, simplicity and style, and structured steps versus individuality. All that is success in this artform comes from mastering steps that have been refined for thousands of years. This lends to one using very subtle divergencies from form in order to express themselves as individuals along with there work.
